Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics

Day 1: Introduction to BTC
An introduction to the core practices and research foundations of Building Thinking Classrooms in mathematics.
Participants will explore task design, classroom norms, and structures that support student thinking and engagement.
Day 2: BTC Closing the lesson
This workshop focuses on effective math lesson consolidation in a Thinking Classroom.
Strategies covered include selecting student work, facilitating discussion, and supporting meaningful notes development.
Ideal for those who have already participated in Peter Liljedahl's Intro to BTC workshop.
You can register for one day ($375) or both days ($700)!

How it works:
Stage 1 - Pre-course preparation (online) Theory and background knowledge
Stage 2 - You will spend 2 days training in Seoul Foreign School. Your training covers tool use, fire lighting, knot craft, shelter building, session planning, risk assessment, and facilitation skills.
Stage 3 - Portfolio completion (online, from home) Complete your portfolio at your own pace with ongoing tutor support. You have 9 months from access to the course to complete for Level 3, and 6 months for Level 2.
